Happy Friday the 13th! I saw on 'X' that Dr. Duran was on the move today recognizing APS All-Stars. Congratulations to AEA members Kip Malinosky of TJMS and Courtney Hines of Carlin Springs ES! Our first Union Power Happy Hour started at 3:30 today at Cafe Sazon--join us!

On Monday we had our first Delegate Assembly meeting of the year--it was nice to have so many new faces representing AEA (Did you know that all members may attend meetings?). One of our goals for the year is to have a rep at every site. Do you know who your rep is at your site? We also welcomed 16 new members this week! We truly are stronger together.

As a reminder, when you have questions about the CBA or AEA please contact the office for an answer.

Get involved!

The following sites still need reps: Campbell, Discovery, Glebe, Integration Station, Long Branch, Montessori, Oakridge, Randolph, Science Focus, and Taylor. If interested, please email admin@aeava.org.  We also have openings on some of our committees--please take a look on our website to see what might interest you.

As per the Collective Bargaining agreements, employees will now be a part of a Benefits and Wellness Committee. The needs of employees will be heard when considering changes in healthcare. AEA is allowed 6 members on this committee (3 Licensed/3 Support). Please let me know if you are interested.
