Happy Friday! I hope Teacher Appreciation Week brought lots of smiles. I share the sentiments of Dr. Fedderman (see News from VEA below). NEA, VEA, and AEA will always 'have your back'. Please know that there are a lot of people in the community who do appreciate you. We are in this union together because we know we deserve better.
We are getting closer and closer to wrapping up our collective bargaining negotiations. Our teams have a few more proposals to go through, and the finish line is in sight. We will be sending more information about the contract, Q and A sessions, and the contract ratification process in a few weeks. Please be sure to see the links below for Town Hall meetings and our annual All-Member Meeting.
If you'd like to come out and support our AEA-PAC endorsed candidates, endorsement voting is taking place from 10-6 at Drew ES on Saturday.
Happy Mother's Day weekend to all who celebrate :)

APS Recognizes Asian Pacific American and Jewish American Heritage Months

This May, as we observe Jewish American Heritage Month, we take this special opportunity to celebrate and recognize the rich contributions and cultural heritage of Jewish Americans. The Jewish community in the United States has been influential in shaping our society.

This May, we celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, a time to honor the rich history and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the United States. AAPI communities have played a pivotal role in shaping the fabric of our society.
