October 25, 2024

Happy last Friday of October!  This week started with an exciting opportunity to visit the White House!  I accompanied Mrs. Folb's fifth grade class from Hoffman Boston for a (non-partisan) celebration of the reimagined White House tour.  We were able to have a meet and great and photo with Dr. Jill Biden, and Mrs. Folb and a few students were invited on a private tour of the new exhibit.  It was a day to remember for all!

Congratulations to AEA members and APS October All-Stars, Ms. Dana Crepeau from Ashlawn Elementary School, and Ms. Karina Valdez of Montessori!

President Carol Bauer of VEA asked me to inform you that VEA has put together a committee to review the VEA Constitution, Articles of Incorporation, and Bylaws. Additionally, the committee is working on a Code of Conduct for members. The collective work has been named "Project Solidarity". Documents will be available for review when the final (proposed) drafts have been created. Members who attend the VEA Representative Assembly meeting in April will have the chance to vote. Information about becoming a delegate will be sent at a later date. Please contact the office if you have questions.
