    Happy Friday! What season is it? Hopefully your week hasn't been as dramatic as our weather.   We started the week with our monthly Delegate Assembly meeting. Our delegates voted to send a formal letter to both the Arlington County Board and the School Board regarding the proposed budget. Simply stated--the County Board needs to provide more funding, and the School Board needs to ask for more.   Please consider speaking at a County Board meeting or School Board meeting. Tell your stories.  They matter.

    Wednesday morning started with a visit to Hoffman Boston Elementary School. Thank you to the Hoffman Boston building reps Valerie Smith and Belinda Folb for bringing the excitement!


    In Memoriam


    We learned this week that former AEA President Shelley Jennings passed away on March 4. Shelley was AEA President from 2008-2010.    Shelley touched the lives of so many students and staff in APS.   She will be greatly missed.

    Election News

    Ballots for this year's election are ready to go! Ballots should start arriving via inter office mail the week of March 23. We will try to hold a candidate forum via Zoom, and once candidates submit campaign flyers, we will post them here. Be on the lookout for fliers on you AEA bulletin board.

    Interested in joining the Organizing Committee?

    Come find out about the amazing work the Organizing Committee is doing--they are meeting on Tuesday, 3/17, @ 7:15 PM.  In this meeting, they will be doing a short training on the basics of organizing. Here is the Google Calendar.
